1. What is Fine Robusta Honey?
Fine Robusta Honey refers to specialty Robusta coffee cultivated in regions with ideal natural conditions and processed with meticulous care. To qualify, it must achieve a score of 80/100 or higher based on evaluation standards set by the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) or the Coffee Quality Institute (CQI).
2. The Journey of Fine Robusta Honey
In 2010, CQI introduced the Q Robusta Program to create a common quality language for high-grade Robusta. While Arabica remains more renowned, Robusta is indispensable in espresso blends due to its higher yield and resilience against climate change. 3.2. Roasted Beans (Flavor Profile)
Fine Robusta is roasted darker than Arabica and cupped at a ratio of 8.75g coffee per 150ml water. Attributes such as aroma, flavor, aftertaste, acidity, balance, and mouthfeel are scored meticulously. Coffee scoring above 80 qualifies as specialty grade.
